Message from the Mayor:

My name is Dan O’Handley and I have the pleasure of being mayor of the Village of Kenaston, Saskatchewan.  On behalf of my community, I would like to extend to you an open invitation to drop in if you are in the neighborhood and experience our warm and friendly hospitality.

We are a small community located 45 minutes south of Saskatoon on the junction of the Louis Riel Trail (Highway #11) and Highway 15, in Central Saskatchewan.  We, like all small rural Saskatchewan communities, are working hard to survive.  We have suffered through poor crops and population decline, but we keep fighting.  It is this determination that makes us what we are.

We have a great campground at the edge of town along with recreational facilities and good businesses.  The café is always open, with local people present for good conversation.  We are very fortunate to have a K-12 school, churches and strong community organizations.  What I am most proud of are the strong, friendly, energetic and resilient people who live here.

If you have time on your travels, or just want to experience rural life at its best, come and see us.  We always have time to visit.
