7. Kenaston Place

Kenaston Place is a bright, spacious, air-conditioned community centre. Opened in 1996, this modern, well designed facility can serve most functions and is used for celebrations, weddings, funerals, graduations, theatre, trade shows, and meetings of all sizes. Capacity: banquet seating - 400; dance - 500; meeting rooms - from 2 to 500. Internet hook-up is available.

The main hall is over 5000 square feet. This room may be divided into two rooms with a folding wall. Half the floor is hardwood, and the other half is carpeted. Seating facilities include 35 large tables and 450 upholstered chairs. This hall has a full theatre-style performance stage with excellent lighting and sound systems.

Separated from the main hall by double doors is an additional 1400 square foot meeting room which may also serve as a buffet room. The capacity for this room is 80 people.

The large well-equipped kitchen is accessible to both rooms. It includes: a commercial six-burner range & grill, double oven; three sinks; a freezer; a walk-in cooler; large prep area, coffee urns, and cocktail bar with refrigerator and no corkage fees.

Kenaston Place is designed with a large open foyer, and provides spacious, clean washroom facilities, a baby change room, cloak room, janitorial services and ample parking.

Incorporated into the east end of Kenaston Place are the Village of Kenaston and R.M. of McCraney office, and council chamber.
