The Kenaston Wheatland Library:

Our new ramp is still in need of more railing to pass inspec-tion, which is why you will see a rope across the ramp.

Please take a moment to view our sponsors sign outside the front door when you visit the Library. For all our exterior im-provements we acknowledge the grants from Dakota Dunes Community Development Fund, Community Initiatives Fund - Community Places and Spaces Program and Affinity Credit Union Community Development Fund.

And a huge THANK YOU to all the personal donations and support of our various fund raising efforts from YOU our com-munity people.

Village News:

Winter Hours for Dump:

  • December 2, 16 & 30
  • January 13 & 27
  • February 10 & 2
  • March 10 & 24

The Village of Kenaston council would like to thank Jean Fehr for her service at the Bonnington Springs campground this summer. We had travelers from BC to Ontario and Alaska to Florida. D. Trump even stopped over for a night.

A big THANK YOU to Lutz Electric for improving the lights at the Snowman Park. The Snowman is brilliantly lit up once again for our winter season. Your donation of time and parts is greatly appreciated by the Village of Kenaston and Kenaston Chamber of Commerce.

The Village of Kenaston is starting a new well project soon. Solie Drilling Ltd. from Balgonie, Saskatchewan will be here to drill a new well to hook into our water treatment plant. This project has been approved for funding from the Clean Water And Wastewater Fund through the Government of Saskatchewan. The Village of Kenaston applied for this grant in January 2017 and was approved for 1/3 funding from the Federal Government and 1/3 funding from the Provincial Government. We are very thankful for this help with this needed project.

Merry Christmas From Council

Thanks to everyone that helped get the Kenaston Rink ready and operating for the 2017/2018 season! The rink requires a lot of volunteers and time that goes unnoticed. Your hard work, time, effort, and energy is greatly appreciated by the community and everyone that uses the facility! Please support our rink by attending games, buying a season pass, eating at the rink kitchen, and sponsoring the facility.

Respectfully submitted, Elaina Guilmette

A very hearty THANK YOU to the community in response to our mailout requesting support for our Seniors Club and the Adams Centre. Thank you to the Village Council, donations, and new members.

We continue to be busy with Monday coffee, Thursday afternoon coffee, exercise equipment, billiards, quilting, cards, volunteering, etc. We enjoyed two fun visits from the Kenaston School grades 5 & 6 students as they made a String Art craft.

The Seniors Club Christmas Supper is 6pm Tues Dec 12.

Merry Christmas from the Kenaston Seniors
